Samuel W. Engelsgjerd, MD

Dr. Engelsgjerd earned his undergraduate degree in Chemistry and Mathematics at St. Olaf College.  He attended medical school at the Medical College of Wisconsin and residency training at Georgetown University Hospital.

Dr. Engelsgjerd is a general urologist with comprehensive training in all aspects of urologic care. He manages a wide range of conditions including benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), kidney stones, men’s sexual health issues such as erectile dysfunction, infertility, and low testosterone, as well as prostate, kidney, bladder, and testicular cancers. He offers both medical and advanced surgical treatments tailored to each patient’s needs. He is trained in robotic surgery using the DaVinci Robot and can perform a full spectrum of BPH procedures—including Aquablation and holmium laser enucleation of the prostate (HoLEP). For patients with complex kidney stones, he is skilled in performing percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL).

Dr. Engelsgjerd is married and enjoys spending time with family and friends, singing, cooking, and traveling.
